Tayshet Campsite

On Thursday, after a 380km drive, we reached the town of Tayshet – the start (and western end) of the BAM Road. We drove a few km onto the BAM Road and then followed a small track off-road, where we found a suitable place in the trees for the night’s wild-camp.

After dinner, we got some rest, ready to tackle the famous BAM Road the following morning.
