Perast

This morning, I took a drive to Perast which is further up the Bay of Kotor from my hotel. It is a historic village in a picturesque setting.

I parked the Defender in a paid-parking place on the main road (0.5 Euros per hour) walked down into the village. First up was a boat ride to the island of Our Lady of the Rock (5 Euros for the boat ride).

Admission to the church on the island was free but if you wanted to see the museum, there was a fee of 1 Euro. For one Euro, I went in but there isn’t much to see.  The church itself is the more interesting of the two with its painted walls and ceiling.

After visiting the island, it was time for lunch, so I found a nice restaurant by the water so that I could have lunch with a view. Perfect!
