22 Countries – Almost 20,000 Miles

I’ve arrived in Verona, Italy and today marks the end of the solo segment of my trip. Bev flies in tomorrow and we’ll do the final month of the trip together.

Mileage for the trip to date is 19,864 (31,968 kilometres), so I’ll be passing the 20,000 mile mark fairly soon. My collection of flag stickers is complete for the trip, with each of the 22 countries I’ve visited now represented by a flag on the spare wheel cover. We still have to visit France and England, but those flags are already posted as I travelled through them at the beginning of the trip (and last year). There are more than 22 country flags on the wheel cover, because they also include the countries I visited in the Defender last year.

I’ve been to so many places and seen so many things over the past 4.5 months. It has been amazing. And still another month to go. Loving it!

  1. Epic journey Craig, loved the pics – especially from Balkans, good to see how things have changed. Enjoy the rest of the trip.
