For the past few days we have been venturing out from Eze Bord de Mer for lunch. Today, we stayed in the village and had lunch at Anjuna Beach Restaurant located on the village’s pebbled beach. The restaurant is often frequented by celebrities and is rather expensive, but we decided to treat ourselves. The front of the restaurant is about two feet from the waters edge and has a sort of beach shack decor. It even has boat service with a small inflatable running out to transport people from larger vessels that anchor off shore.
We ordered an assortment of appetisers and veggies to start with and were surprised by the amount of food that arrived. The wooden box contained salami, parmesan cheese, celery, zucchini, peppers, spring onions, tomatoes, radishes, carrots and even a couple of boiled eggs along with dips. We could have just eaten the appetiser and been fine – but we’d already ordered main courses to follow!
We had a very pleasant couple of hours at Anjuna. With a bill of 175 euros, we couldn’t afford to do it very often, although 64 euros was for wine, so it would be possible to eat there for less.
Tomorrow will be our last full day in Eze Bord de Mer. It looks like we may be heading to Cannes for lunch.
